2022 Pink Ladies CURE-NAMENT Tournament Rules

While this is a fun fishing tournament, we do need guidelines to ensure it’s also fair. It’s the responsibility of all anglers and participants to read and understand these rules and regulations that govern The Pink Ladies CURE-NAMENT. This tournament is open to all anglers.

TOURNAMENT CHANNEL 78

RULE 1 Entry fee is $ 400 per boat for 4 anglers and includes 2 tournament shirts ( $ 100 each additional angler ( which included an additional shirt) Entries the day of Captain party may not receive tournament shirt this day Extra shirts are $ 40
RULE 2: Registered anglers are responsible for providing their own fishing vessel and must have a valid Florida fishing license.

RULE 3: Check Out is October 8th 2022 from any inlet. Lines in at 630 am.
RULE 4: Check in: All boats must be visually checked into Boynton Beach inlet by 4 pm 2
nd Location in Hillsboro Inlet to be announced at Captains party) If you are not visually checked in by 4:00 pm, you will be automatically disqualified. There is NO lines out time.
RULE 5: Fishing area is Florida waters only. Boat
s may fish as far north as the "Loran Tower" 27.05 North Loran Tower and as far South as you wish. Fishing in the Bahamas will be automatically disqualified. The fishing limits of this tournament are no more than twenty-five (25) miles off the east coast of Florida.
RULE 6: All IGFA rules apply to the Pink Ladies Cancer Foundation. Wire lines are permitted. The use of treble hooks (unless part of a commercially-manufactured lure) and electric reels (except kite rods and downriggers) are prohibited. Stinger hooks must be firmly imbedded or firmly attached to the bait. Exception: Gaff may be up to 12 feet in length; this is contrary to IGFA rules but acceptable for The Pink Ladies Cure-nament.
RULE 7: Live bait, dead bait and lures are permitted. Live chumming is prohibited.
RULE 8: Mutilated fish are not eligible. Any fish that has been tampered with to increase the weight shall be disqualifi
ed and removed from the tournament. The weigh master’s decision is final.
RULE 9: The following species are eligible: Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Cobia and Tuna.
RULE 10: Scoring
One point will be awarded per pound, per fish with a 10 lb. minimum per fish. Fish not meeting minimum weight will not count. All boats must adhere to Florida recreational bag limits as they pertain to all eligible species. To view current recreational bag limits, visit www.myfwc.com.) A maximum of 3 fish per species, per boat may be weighed. b) A maximum of 10 fish per boat can be weighed.
RULE 11: All boated catches may be reported at time of catch to the committee boat, by boat number and angler name. It is strongly recommended that anglers call in fish in order to determine which fish would be the tie-breaker in case of a tie in weight. In the event of a tie where neither fish was called in, the anglers shall split the award. All boats must be visually checked into the Boynton Beach Inlet by 4:00 pm. (location to be announced)
RULE 12: Tournament officials will monitor VHF radio channel 78. Back up channel is 74. Please use a relay if you cannot contact the committee boat on channels 78 or 74.

RULE 13: Cash and prizes (To be determined the week before tournament based on entries) but estimated for the following: For Heaviest overall of any species Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Cobia and Tuna

1st - $1250 and prizes
2nd - $600 and prizes
3rd - $400 and prizes

Lady Angler Heaviest Fish - Batson custom Spinning rod worth $ 1000 and sterling silver necklace Junior Angler (under 14) Heaviest Fish -Cash and prizes

Calcutta’s (Payouts are 50/30/20 but may adjusted depending on # of boat entries) Heaviest Fish (Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Cobia, Blackfin Tuna)$ 100,

4 fish boat aggregate (only weighing 2 per species) - $100
Heaviest King -$100
Heaviest Wahoo- $100
Heaviest Bonita- $50

RULE 14: Registration fees will not be refunded for any reason.
RULE 15: Weather: If postpone due to weather an alternate date will be chosen.
RULE 16: Registered junior anglers 14 and under are eligible for all awards.
RULE 17: In case of a tie, the earliest fish reported will be the winner.
RULE 18: As a condition of the entry in the Tournament, the angler specifically understands, agrees and consents to a polygraph examination if requested by decision of the tournament committee. Refusal of any angler to submit to a polygraph examination shall result in her immediate disqualification. In the sole opinion of the polygraph examiner, any untruthful response in the examination shall result in her immediate disqualification. Any participant so disqualified, shall not be entitled to any prize, award or entry fee refund. RULE 19: The Pink Ladies Cancer Foundation reserves the right to refuse tournament applicants or entries with or without cause in its sole discretion.
RULE 20: Any protest must be submitted in writing with a non-refundable fee of $100 per incident and delivered to the Pink Ladies Cancer Foundation by 7:00 pm on the day of fishing. Discretion of the PLCF Committee will be final.
RULE 21: It is expressively understood that all participants enter at their own risk. Directors, officers, committee members, sponsors, officials and all other persons directly or indirectly involved with the operations of the Pink Ladies Cancer Foundation shall be exempt from loss, damage, liability, negligence or injury suffered to any participant, entrant, sports angler, their companions, boat captains, crew members, vessels and equipment, which may occur during the Tournament.
RULE 22: All participating boats should be equipped with a working VHF marine radio. The tournament committee will monitor VHF channel 68, official times or special notifications will be announced during the tournament on this channel. NO WEIGH-IN STATISTICS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON VHF RADIO.
RULE 23:
Tournament rules are subject to change without notice. ANY CHANGES WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE CAPTAIN’S MEETING
RULE 24: Prizes: Award winners over $600.00 MUST provide their social security number and will be REQUIRED to fill out a W-9 Form. ALL CASH & PRIZES will be awarded to the person or entity that paid the entry fee from the winning boat UNLESS that said person signs a release designating another individual to receive on their behalf 23. In the Event of a Tie: Prizes will be split equally
